NRI seats will be filled up from students of all communities provided the criteria for the admission as stipulated by AICTE, University, Central and State Governments are satisfied by the candidate.

Tuition Fee Waiver [TFW]

TFW seats will be filled up by Government/Entrance Commissioner based on merit.

Currently available 3 Seats per branch which is supernumerary to sanctioned strength.

Terms of Selection

  • Presently 50% of total seats are filled by the Government and 50% are filled by the Management.
  • Government Seats are filled by the Government based on merit and reservation from the Common Entrance Test Rank list.
  • Management Seats are filled by the Management based on merit. The merit may be evaluated based on the Common Entrance Test Score/Rank and Qualifying examination results.
  • The candidates are to appear for interview and counseling at their own expense.
  • The candidates have to bring the original certificates at the time of admission and the list of marks obtained in the common entrance test along with a copy of each of the above including that of TC.
  • The fact that a candidate has appeared for interview does not confer on him/her any claim for selection.
  • Individual admission/selection memos will be sent by the Principal, MES Institute of Technology & Management to candidates selected.
  • The candidates who do not present themselves for interview/counseling at the appointed place, date and time will not be considered for admission.
  • MES or the Secretary, MES Institute of Technology & Management Managing Committee will not be responsible for non receipt of application forms/selection memos and other correspondences regarding admission. If the candidates who are provisionally selected do not report before the Principal on prescribed time and date, the selection will automatically be cancelled without further notice.
  • Admission given to the Engineering College is based on the details and information furnished by the candidate or his/her parent/guardian and if any false information or error is detected at any stage in the mark list, certificate or details furnished by the candidate or his/her parent/guardian, the admission of the candidate will be cancelled and he/she will be removed from the rolls of the institution.
  • The college will be functioning as per the guidelines issued by AICTE, Government of Kerala and the relevant orders of the Supreme Court of India.
  • Political activity in the campus is totally banned. An undertaking has to be signed jointly by the student and his/her parent/guardian at the time of admission in the prescribed Format. Campus includes students’ hostel and other places in the possession and under the control of the college.
  • For the details not specifically covered in this Information Brochure the decision of the secretary, MES Institute of Technology & Management Managing Committee will be final.
  • The High Court of Kerala only will have the jurisdiction to decide on disputes arising, if any, regarding admission. The consumer protection jurisdiction is also confined to the State of Kerala only.
  • The admission of a student would be liable to be cancelled if he/she indulges in ragging.

Application Form can be obtained in person by paying Rs. 500/- (Cash/DD**) from the College; also from MES Central Office, Calicut and MES Cultural Complex, Ernakulam. College Office would send the form by post on request with a DD for Rs.550/-.

** DD should be in favour of the Principal & payable at Chathannoor. Money orders will not be accepted.

Eligibility

Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or equivalent thereto with 50% marks in Mathematics separately and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Bio-technology/Computer Science/Biology put together are eligible for admission. 3 year diploma holders in Engineering having 50% marks in the final diploma examination are also eligible for admission to first year B.Tech and those having 60% marks are eligible for second year under lateral entry scheme.

Allotment of Seats

Eligibility conditions and reservation are governed by the notification issued by the Government of Kerala in respect of B.Tech. admission. Guidelines provided by the Kerala Self Financing College Managements' Association will also be followed. 50% of the seats including NRI quota are filled by the management.

For Management quota of seats the admission will be made from the rank list prepared by the college reckoning the marks received in the CEE and the marks secured in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of the qualifying examination.

Therefore, applicants seeking admission under Management quota for Engineering should have necessarily written the Common Entrance Test conducted by the Government of Kerala. They should submit application in the prescribed form along with the enclosures to this college.

Fee Structure

  • The Norms of the fee structure for every academic year is decided by the Government of Kerala.
  • Presently 50% of the total seats are filled by the Government and 50% is filled by the management.

Document Retention Policy

  • As per the norms of AICTE/University/Govt of Kerala collected from students will be returned after verification by University/DTE.
  • All other documents related to the student will be released once the student discontinues or completes the course.
