Prof.Shareer A is working as Assistant Professor and HOD in the Department of Physical Education from July 2018.


" The MESITAM campus inspired me much with its calm and fascinated nature and really it is a tribute to all. Our mission is to walk with students and fill their mind with joy and plessure, beside sports.

Basically I am an Athlete but Kabaddi is my favorite game and I have played university in Kabaddi."

Credentials

He has got the following achievements as his personal credentials

  • He had completed his graduate with BSC Zoology and post graduated with Physical Education (MPES).

  • He did Mphil from Alagappa University and doing Phd in Kerala University.

  • He had completed two post graduate diploma program, In Sports Physiotherapy and yoga.

  • He had learned Ayurveda from Arya Vidhya Sala , Coimbathoore (APN).

  • He is having an experience as a Physical Education Teacher for 24 years. And also experience as Yoga Teacher, Sports physiotherapist and Ayurvedic Paramedical Practitioner.

Activities

The following are the activities of Physical Education department.

  • Physical Education department have send all Teams for participating in the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University inter-collegiate Tournament in the academic year 2018-2019.
  • Our Chess Team participated in the KTU B Zone Tournament in the Bishop Jerome College and placed 6th In the Tournament.
  • Shuttle Badminton Team participated in the KTU B Zone Tournament and lost in the first match.
  • Out Football team entered in the semi-final during the KTU B Zone Tournament at Younus College of Engineering & Technology, Kollam.
  • Cricket Team Entered in the Quarter Final position in the KTU Inter College B Zone Tournament.
  • Volley Ball Team Entered in the quarter final in the KTU B Zone Tournament Conducted at TKM Engineering College.
  • Our Athletic Team Participated in the KTU Inter Zone Athletic Meet at University Stadium and Mohhamed Hussan Priced 5th in the 100 meter Final.
  • It is the first time our Lady Kabaddy Team Participated in the KTU inter Zone Kabaddi Tournament.
  • Annual Athletic meet conducted in our stadium on 28th Feb 2019 and all games competitions conducted in the annual sports.
  • MESITAM football team entered semi-final by beat Perumon Engineering College. Perumon in Penalty (5-4)

Achievements

Physical Education department has got the following achievements.

  • Physical Education department have send all Teams for participating in the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University inter-collegiate Tournament in the academic year 2018-2019.
  • It is the first time MESITAM organized APJ Abdulkalam Technological University Inter zone Tournament in our campus. We have conducted KTU Inter zone Kabaddi Men & Women tournament in our campus on Nov 22nd & 23rd. There are 20 Teams participated in the tournament and Mohammed Toufeek of Sem 8 have got University Team selection in this tournament.
  • We have Ameersha memorial Zoker Cup Tournament in our Campus and 16 teams were participated . Our college won the tournament.
  • MESITAM, Chathannoor finished as the Second runner- up in KTU INTERCOLLEGIATE #CHESS Tournament held at TKMCE
  • MESITAM Football Team become second runner-up in KTU inter-collegiate B-Zone Football Tournament held in TKM Engineering College by beating College of Engineering Pathanapuram (3-2) (12-Dec-2019)
