The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is pleased to announce a Four-Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "Artificial Intelligence and Data Science: A Hands-on Orientation",organized in support of the KTU 2024 Scheme course: GNEST305 – Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Data Science

A workshop on 'Networking Technologies'
A workshop on 'Networking Technologies' was conducted by CSE Department students' association 'i-c@m' in association with Networkz Systems, Kollam on 28.10.2022 Friday 9.30am to 1pm. Prof. Saheer H, HoD-CSE inaugurated the programme. The session was handled by Mr.Mohammed Shafi and Mr.Sanober, Techno Commercial Engineers- Netwokz systems, Kollam.

PTA meeting for seventh semester Computer Science and Engineering has been scheduled on 29/09/2022 ( Thursday ) @ 2:00 PM.

Industrial Visit - BSNL Data Distribution Hub, Chinnakkada , Kollam.
The students of S6 CSE and advisor along with Industrial Institution Interaction coordinator visited the BSNL Data Distribution Hub located at Chinnakkada , Kollam.
The Technicians and Engineers at BSNL , Kollam had given a detailed session on different modules namely switching, transmission, MDF , WiFi distribution and Broadband . The students were shown various cables, Routers being used to cater the internet facility in the district and its working procedures.
The team visited various blocks in the premises namely main distribution frames, Telecom support Infrastructure, Transmission rooms and Wi Fi rooms. The session was led by Er. Salim Kumar, AGM BSNL, Kollam supported by Er. Aji Kumar (SDE, Kollam) ,other technical and supporting staffs at BSNL . Our students had a real time experience of the data distribution facility at BSNL and the visit was really beneficial for them.

Merit Evening and Inauguration of Association Activities 10-01-2022
ic@m – Student Association of CSE, MES Institute of Technology and Management, Chathannoor, Kollam in association with department staff club organized a Merit Evening and Inauguration of Association Activities on Jan 10th Monday 2022 at 2:45 pm. Mr. SALIM KUMAR EV (Asst. General Manager, Enterprise Business, BSNL, Kollam) was the Chief Guest. Mr. BINEESH B P (Jr. Engineer, Installation & Maintenance, BSNL Core Networking ) was the key speaker of the function.
Prof. SAHEER H (HOD, Computer Science & Engineering, MESITAM) delivered the welcome speech. Dr. NAJEE M (Principal, MESITAM) presided the function and Chief Guest Mr. SALIM KUMAR E V inaugurated the event. Chief Guest awarded the toppers of the recent semester results published by KTU with a memento while Principal awarded the faculty members who secured best results in the recent semester results published by KTU. Mr. MUHAMMED SAFVAN (S7 CSE), Vice Chairman, ic@m presented the report of previous year association activities and an overview of upcoming activities while Ms. NAAJA (S7 CSE), Secretary, ic@m hosted the function.
Mr. BINEESH B P handled a technical session on “Networking and IP v6 “. The event was conducted at the college auditorium and ended in the evening with vote of thanks by Prof. GIMY JOY , Staff advisor, ic@m.
